Ladyjack Golfers Finish Strong at 2013 State Amateur

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin had a trio of golfers competing in the 2013 State Amateur tournament at the Woodlands Country Club last week. Aliece Anderson, Rose Henderson and Mackenzie Steiner all walked away with solid performances.
Anderson won the second flight 2 up over her opponent, Michelle Jonika. The flight match-ups were determined by the player handicap index. Steiner advanced to the quarterfinals of flight one before bowing out to the eventual tournament champion. Henderson also had a strong outing, advancing to the quarterfinals of the championship consolation bracket.
