NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team edged Nicholls State in a 4-3 decision Saturday afternoon at the Schlief Tennis Complex.
After sweeping the doubles points from NSU (8-12, 1-5 SLC), SFA (9-9, 4-2 SLC) rallied off three consecutive wins in singles play from Laura Servise, Margot de Haan and Kateryna Bugayenko, to claim the victory over the Lady Colonels.
NSU rallied late, taking the final three singles matches, to arrive at the 4-3 final.
The 'Jacks will quickly retake the court, traveling to Waco, Texas, for a Sunday night contest against Baylor.
