Ladyjacks Finish Seventh At Intercollegiate Championships

LINCOLN, NE - Despite averaging a 226 team score and recording the highest baker set in school history, the No. 9 Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks bowling team settled for a seventh place finish at the 2013 xbowling Intercollegiate Team Championships Friday afternoon.
SFA, who finished the season with a 68-41 overall record, fell to 10th seeded Wright State (4-1) in Round 1 on Thursday which forced the Ladyjacks to the losers bracket and facing one more loss from elimination.
However, SFA rebounded to defeat 15th seeded Midland (4-3) to setup Friday's match against 14th seeded Marian. The Ladyjacks avoided elimination with a 4-3 win over Marian this moring before falling 4-1 to third seeded Lindenwood (4-1) this afternoon.
Friday marked the final tournament for seniors Dustie Hammond, Ashli Rosenkranz and Moe Surkein.
