Ladyjacks Finish 23rd at Kiawah Intercollegiate

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Stephen F. Austin freshman Mackenzie Steiner shot a team-best 74 in the final round of the Kiawah Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon in Kiawah Island, S.C., to lead the Ladyjacks who placed 23rd as a team (329-315-324 - 968). Steiner finished tied for 71st on the individual leaderboard.
Junior Aliece Anderson was only a stroke back of Steiner with a 238. She finished the tournament tied for 77th overall.
Seniors Allison Flake and Chelsea Simmons stuggled in the final round finishing the tournament with an 87. Flake tied for 123rd overall (248), while Simmons recorded a 250 to place tied for 130. Junior Rose Henderson shot a 84-86-83 - 253 to place tied for 140th.
The Ladyjacks return to action Mondy, Mar. 11 when they travel to Hattiesburg, Miss., to open the Lady Eagle Invitational.
