HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin women's golf team fired a final round 311 to finish fifth (304-296-311 - 911) at the SHSU Harold Funston Invitational Tuesday morning in Huntsville, Texas. The Ladyjacks continued their steady play to retain the fifth spot during Tuesday's final round.
Freshman Jessica White carded a final round 77 to finish a career best 11th place, ten-over par 223 for the tournament. White was followed closely by fellow freshman Piper Kyle, who fired a final round 76 to finish 17th at 226.
Senior Aliece Anderson finished tied for 23rd with a final round 78 (229). Sophomore Sydney Reed closed the tournament tied for 33rd carding a final round 80 (235).
Senior Rosie Henderson finished tied for 45th with a final round 81. Sophomore Mackenzie Steiner, competing as a medalist, finished tied for 31st with a final round 80 (234).
The Ladyjacks resume action in three weeks at the South Alabama Invitational Nov. 4-5, in Loxley, AL.
