Ladyjacks Win First Ever Title in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS, La – The No. 9 Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack bowling team captured their first tournament-title in program history, winning the Tulane Invitational Sunday at the AMF All-Star Lanes.
SFA (7-2) entered Sunday in second place before dropped their opening match to No. 6 Sam Houston 4-2. The Ladyjacks bounced back with a convincing 4-1 victory over Alabama State, to reach the championship match verse Sam Houston.
SFA dropped the opening game to Sam Houston before working a 202 tie in game two. The Ladyjacks would take four of the next five games to secure the program’s first ever tournament-title.
SFA stamped their win with a convincing final game victory of 227-149.
The Ladyjacks will return to action at the FDU Jamboree Nov. 1-3 in Hackensack, NJ.
