Bowling Finishes Fifth at Mid-Winter Invitational

JONESBORO, Ark. - The No. 13 Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks bowling team finished in fifth place, going 2-1 in the best-of-seven play Sunday, on the final day of the ASU Mid-Winter Invitational at the Jonesboro Bowling Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The Ladyjacks (33-17), after dropping their opening match of the day to No. 7 Arkansas State (0-4), defeated No. 4 Sam Houston (4-1) and No. 9 Wisconsin-Whitewater (4-3) to close out the tournament.
SFA went 11-2 over the three-day tournament, setting a school-record for victories in a single tournament. Melanie Crawford also finished sixth individually.
The ‘Jacks will retake the lane Jan. 25-7 at the Kutztown Invitational in Reading, Pennsylvania.
