'Jacks Struggle Finish Fourth at ULM

MONROE, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks fired a 304-295-309 - 908 to finish fourth overall at the ULM/Wallace Jones Invitational Tuesday in Monroe, La. The Lumberjacks finished with two individuals among the top five on the 6,822-yard, par-72 Calvert Crossing Country Club course.
Junior Mitchell McLeroy fired a six-over 78 on the final day of action to fall fifth overall with a three-round 222. McLeroy was tied by senior Michael Smith who carded three consecutive rounds of two-over par to finish tied for fifth as well.
Senior Stetson McMillan came on strong after a rough first round. Following his opening-round 79, McMillan finish out the tournament with a three-over par in the final two rounds. He carded a 226 to finish tied for 13th overall.
SFA's two freshmen struggled to close out the final round. Cody Wing recorded an 84 to finish tied for 47th overall with a 239, while Blake Pugh closed out the tournament with an 85. Pugh was tied for 51st overall with a 242.
