Ladyjacks Fall to 10th at Crown Colony

LUFKIN, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team recorded a 350-344-347 - 1,041 to place 10th Tuesday in the Crown Classic from Crown Colony Country Club in Lufkin, Texas. Lamar edged out Texas A&M by five strokes for the title.
SFA had a tough final round with their top four players unable to shoot below an 83. The Ladyjacks were led by Chelsea Simmons who was 20th overall with a 82-83-83 - 248. Sophomore Aliece Anderson was only six strokes back of Simmons with a 254 (tied for 26th ).
Junior Allison Flake and sophomore Rose Henderson finished tied for 53rd overall with a 275. Sophomore Sara Jones closed out the SFA scoring with a 276 to place 55th overall.
SFA returns to action Sunday, Mar. 18, when they travel to Monterey, Calif., to compete in the Del Monte Invitational.
