LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Junior Mitchell McLeroy fired an even par 144 to lead the Stephen F. Austin men's golf team Monday afternoon on the 7,326-yard, par-72 Bear Den Course at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock, Ark. Mitchell is tied for fourth overall, but SFA is 11th in the team standings (306-303 - 609).
McLeroy fired a two-under par in the opening round before closing out the day with a two-over 74. Freshman Blake Pugh recorded the team's second-lowest day with a seven-over 151. Senior Stetson McMillan suffered his worst day of the spring carding rounds of 79 and 78 to finish tied for 65. Freshman Austin DeWitt and Michael Smith currently tied for 78th with a 160.
SFA will close out the final round of the UALR tournament at 8 a.m. Tuesday. SFA will tee off the back nine.
