NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The No. 43-ranked Stephen F. Austin women's tennis team will put their national ranking on the line Friday afternoon when they travel to Natchitoches, La., to face defending conference champion Northwestern State (9-2/3-1 SLC). The match is slated to begin at 2 p.m. SFA will be back in action Saturday when they return to the friendly confines of the Schlief Tennis Complex for an 11 a.m. match against rival Sam Houston State.
The 'Jacks enter the weekend in a three-way tie for first in the conference standings with Texas State and Texas-Arlington. SFA is 13-2 (.867) on the season, and is riding a program-best 11-match win streak. The 'Jacks have been perfect ever since a 5-1 setback at No. 5 Baylor.
SFA will remain in Nacogdoches Wednesday, Mar. 28th, when they host McNeese State (Noon). The match against the Cowgirls is a makeup date from a match that was rained out earlier this year.
