Ladyjacks Fall to 10th at Monterey Bay

MONTEREY, Calif. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team shot a 329-332-338 - 999 dropping to 10th overall Tuesday at the Monterey Bay Invitational in Monterey, Calif.
Junior Chelsea Simmons led the squad with a 245 to finish tied for 38th overall. Sophomore Aliece Anderson was unable to hold the momentum that had her in the individual top 10 after the first round, but fell a stroke back of Simmons (tied for 41st).
Sophomore Rose Henderson made the biggest climb on the final day of the tournament. She carded her lowest round of the week and finished with an 86-87-82 - 255. Henderson finished the week tied for 57th overall. Junior Allison Flake was four strokes back of Henderson with a 259 to finish tied for 64th, while Sara Jones shot a 269 (T71st).
The SFA women return to action Monday, April 2nd when they travel to Houston to compete in the HBU Intercollegiate.
