Ladyjacks Remain Ninth at Monterey Bay

MONTEREY, Calif. - The Stephen F. Austin women shot a 332 Monday morning in the second round of the Monterey Bay Invitational from the Del Monte Golf Course in Monterey, Calif. The Ladyjacks are currently ninth overall.
Sophomore Aliece Anderson continues to lead SFA but was unable to increase on her strong start from Sunday's first round of competition. Anderson recorded an 85 on the second day of competition and fell out of the overall top 10. She is currently tied for 26th with a 162.
Junior Chelsea Simmons fired the Ladyjacks' lowest round of the day with a 79. She is currently tied for 38th overall, with a 164. Classmate Allison Flake is four strokes back of Simmons with a 168. She is currently tied for 50th. Rose Henderson has recorded rounds of 86 and 87 and is currently tied for 61st with a 173. Sophomore Sara Jones closed out the SFA scoring Monday with an 81. It was a 14-stroke improvement from the opening round of action. Jones is tied for 66th heading into the final day of competition.
SFA closes out the Monterey Bay Invitational Tuesday morning with the final round of action in California.
