Bowling Team Places Sixth In Arlington

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin bowling team finished sixth at the Prairie View A&M Invitational held in Arlington, Texas from Feb. 3-5. SFA finished the invitational with a 6-6 record.
Vanderbilt won the invite followed by second-place Maryland Eastern Shore (9-4 overall) and third-place Arkansas State, who finished with a 10-3 overall record.
Coming into Sunday, the Ladyjacks were the seventh-seed but but defeated Valparaiso to advance to play Central Missouri for the fifth-place contest before losing.
SFA will now have plenty of rest, not competing again until Mar. 16-18 at the Music City Classic in Smyrna, Tenn.
