Ladyjacks Finish 13th at Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team closed out the Islander Classic with a final round 329, to finish 13th overall with a 331-327-329 - 987, at the Corpus Christi Country Club.
Sophomore Aliece Anderson and junior Allison Flake both fired a team-low 81 Tuesday morning. Anderson finished tied for 26th overall with a three-round 234 to lead the Ladyjacks, while Flake was tied for 51st (86-80-81 - 247).
Sophomore Sara Jones struggled in the final round of play with an 85. She finished with a three-round score of 250 to place 57th overall. Junior Chelsea Simmons was six strokes better in the final round compared to her two previous rounds. She carded an 82 Tuesday and was tied for 64th (258). Sophomore Rose Henderson closed out the SFA scoring with an 87-87-86 - 260 to finish tied for 70th.
The Ladyjacks return to action Monday when they will host the Crown Classic from the Crown Colony Country Club in Lufkin, Texas.
