
Bowling Claims First-Ever Top 10 Ranking

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - For the first time in school history, the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks bowling team cracked the top-10 in the National Tenpin Coaches Association poll.
Under first-year head coach Amber Lemke, the Ladyjacks (52-43) were previously ranked No. 11. SFA garnered 266 adjusted points in the current February poll.
Rival Sam Houston State (53-26) slipped from fifth to ninth place and pulled in 383 points.
Northeast Conference teams took eight of the top-20 positions in the poll. New Jersey City University claimed the No. 13 spot, with Kutztown, Adelphi, Monmouth, Saint Francis University and Saint Peter’s College all earning places in the top-20.
Fairleigh Dickinson (74-17) earned 21 first-place votes to take over the No. 1 spot, previously held by Valparaiso.
