
Bowling In Third Place After Day One At Tulane Invite

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks bowling team went 3-1 on day one of the season-opening Tulane Collegiate Bowling Invitational, which included victories over No. 17 Prairie View A&M and No. 18 Bethune-Cookman.
The Ladyjacks (3613 pins) sit behind tournament-leader Arkansas State (3881 pins) and second-place Sam Houston State (3761 pins).
SFA started the day with a 725-682 victory over the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers, followed by a 684-612 loss to Southern, which marked the lowest score of the day for the Ladyjacks. SFA closed the day strong with consecutive victories over Bethune-Cookman (764-655) and North Carolina A&T (768-738).
The Ladyjacks will be back in action tomorrow starting at 1 p.m. when team games begin.
