NACOGDOCHES, Texas - After an opening week that saw the Stephen F. Austin women's tennis step on the court six straight days to face some of the nation's top talent, the 'Jacks are scheduled for only one match Saturday but it will be against a very tough Louisville Cardinal squad.
The 'Jacks enter Saturday's competition with a 1-1 (.500) overall record. SFA kicked off the season with a 6-1 victory over Florida Atlantic, before dropping a heartbreaking 5-2 decision to No. 69 Illinois. The Cards enter the season with a 1-0 record after dispensing Morehead State, 7-0, in their season opener. Louisville will face Arkansas Friday before playing SFA. The match against Louisville is slated to begin at noon.
The schedule gets even tougher following Saturday's matchup. The 'Jacks will be in Waco, Texas four days later to take on No. 6 Baylor. The match against the Lady Bears is slated to begin at 3:30 p.m.
