SFA Men's Golf Tees Off In Season Opener

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Men's Golf Team will be traveling to Fort Worth on Sunday to tee off their season at the UTA Waterchase Invitational in Arlington, Texas. The Waterchase Invitational is one of the larger tournaments to kick off the 2011-12 season.
SFA has seven returning players, including second-team All-Southland Conference selection Mitchell McLeroy.
SFA will be facing a 17-team field consisting of Texas-Arlington, Arkansas State, UT-Pan American, Louisiana-Monroe, Southern Mississippi, Southern Illinois, Mercer, Wichita State, Kansas State, Central Arkansas, Houston Baptist, McNeese State, Nicholls, UTSA, Louisiana Tech and Sam Houston State.
The tee times will begin at 8 a.m. each day at the Waterchase Golf Club beginning on Sept. 19. The course is a par 72 - 7,289 yards.
