'Jacks Land in CSN Preseason Top 25

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks are slated to report for fall camp Thursday, and they will report ranked 18th in the country according to the College Sporting News preseason poll.
The two-time defending Southland Conference Champions enter the 2011 season returning nine starters on offense, including All-American receivers Cordell Roberson and Gralyn Crawford, and seven starters on defense. SFA also returns four starters on the offensive line, which has finished among the nation's top 20 in pass protection each of the past two seasons.
The Lumberjacks are looking to become the first team to win consecutive titles since McNeese State's run of three-straight was ended in 2004. SFA is one of three SLC schools to appear in the preseason poll.
The Lumberjacks kickoff the 2011 season Thursday, Sept. 1, against McMurry. The game is slated to begin at 6 p.m. from Homer Bryce Stadium.
