Hageman Joins Lumberjack Golf Team

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin has added Jeff Hageman to the Lumberjack golf team. Hageman is a transfer student from McLennan Junior College where he helped the Highlanders capture the program's second consecutive NJCAA National Championship in 2010.
"We are excited that Jeff is going to join the Lumberjack family," head coach Trey Schroeder said. "He is a competitor who loves the big stage and has the experience that can help us win."
Hageman recorded a second-place finish at the NJCAA Region V Championships and won the NJCAA District 2 Championship. Not only was Hageman successful on the golf course, he also was in the classroom as he was named to the NJCAA Academic Team of the Year.
In the 2010-11 season, Hageman recorded four top-10 and three top-20 finishes. He finished in a first place tie at the Andrews College/AM Invitational firing a 66-71--137. In addition to his performance at the Andrews invitational, he recorded a second-place finish at the National Championships after scoring a 71-74-70-72--287.
