Ducote Named to CFPA Preseason Watch List

Senior linebacker Devin Ducote has been named to the 2011 College Football Performance Award Watch List announced publication officials Tuesday morning. Ducote is one only 34 linebackers nationally, and one of only two conference players to make the list.
A two-time all-conference selection, Ducote has been among the league's leading tacklers over the course of the past two seasons. Following an injury that cost him the whole 2008 season, Ducote responded by leading the league in tackles the following year to earn second-team All-Southland Conference honors.
He posted a similar performance last season leading the team with 114 stops, including 44 solo tackles. He was also among the league leaders with 10 tackles for losses and finished the year earning honorable mention all-conference honors. Ducote enters his final season in Nacogdoches, having earned 32 starts in 35 games.
