Ladyjacks Set For Holiday Collegiate Classic

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack bowling team will take it No. 14 national ranking on the road this weekend to compete in the Holiday Collegiate Classic in Bessemer, Ala. The three-day tournament begins on Friday and has a 12-team field that includes eight squads ranked in the top 20 in the latest NTCA poll.
The Ladyjacks moved up from 15th to 14th in the February poll after opening the spring semester with three strong performances.
This weekend's tournament includes fellow Southland Conference program Sam Houston State (No. 10) and four more teams ranked in the top 10 nationally; Central Missouri, Nebraska, Vanderbilt and Arkansas State.
The event begins Friday afternoon with four-game baker matches. Saturday's action will consist of five traditional-format games. Sunday will open with a best-of-seven baker match, followed by best-of-seven baker bracketed finals.
