Ladyjacks Finish Ninth After First Two Rounds

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin women's golf team carded a 321-325--646 in the opening two rounds of the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial to finish in ninth place.
Sophomore Aliece Anderson led the Ladyjacks after firing a 76-77--153. Anderson came close to her first top ten finishes, but finished in a tie for 11th place. Junior Chelsea Simmons carded an 80 in the second round of the tournament and finished the first day in a tie for 34th.Sophomore Sara Jones finished four strokes back from Simmons to finish in a tie for 41st.
Junior Allison Flake finished in a tie for 47th after carding an 83-83--167, while Sophomore Rose Marie Henderson finished 67th.
The Ladyjacks return to the course for the final round of the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial Tuesday morning.
