Ladyjacks Prepare to Open 2011 Season in San Antonio

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team will open its spring season with a 10 a.m. match against Trinity and a 6 p.m. match against St. Mary's (TX) on Saturday, Jan. 29, in San Antonio, Texas.
The Ladyjacks' 2011 roster consists of five returning players from last year's squad that advanced to the Southland Conference Championship tournament for a third consecutive year. In addition to the five returning players, SFA has also added Ksenia Berestetska and Jithmie Jayawickrema.
Coming off a 9-11 campaign, the Ladyjacks open their season under first year head coach Patrick Sullivan, Sullivan comes to Nacogdoches after being the assistant coach at SMU and Arkansas. His last year in Fayetteville, he helped lead the Razorbacks to the NCAA Championship where they advanced to the second round. During his time at Arkansas, four of his players received national ranking, including two players in the top 25.
