NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack bowling team will open its 2010-11 season on Oct. 17 with a dual match against Sam Houston State. The match, hosted by the International Training and Research Center in Arlington, Texas, will be streamed live online via the United States Bowling Congress website.
The dual match will add another chapter to the Battle of the Pineywoods rivalry between SFA and Sam Houston State. The Bearkats are a brand-new bowling program in their inaugural season of competition, while the Ladyjacks are coming off a strong debut campaign in 2009-10.
The contest is one of three matches at the Training and Research Center which will be streamed live on Bowl.com. Morgan State against Delaware State is scheduled for Sept. 20, while Prairie View A&M versus Maryland Eastern Shore is slated for Oct. 10. The Ladyjacks' showdown with Sam Houston is set to start at 1 p.m.
