Ladyjacks Finish Eighth at SLC Championships

HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team recorded a 325-326-328 - 979 to finish eighth at the Southland Conference Championships Wednesday afternoon in Huntsville, Texas. The Ladyjacks were unable to overcome an early deficit at the par 71 Ravens Nest Golf Club to close out the program's inaugural season.
Junior Noelle Willcoxon recorded the team's lowest round of the day carding a six-over 77 to finish the tournament 29th overall (80-79-77 - 236). Willcoxon improved upon her previous round score in the final two days of the tournament.
Freshman Wallis Spears posted the team's lowest three-round score firing a 73-81-79 - 233 to finish tied for 21st overall. Freshman Chelsea Simmons finished with a three-round score of 250 to place 36th overall. Classmate Allison Flake shot a 90-84-87 - 261 to finish 38th overall. Flake finished a stroke ahead of teammate Erin Daurity who placed 39th overall (90-86-86 - 262).
