Ladyjacks Eighth After Day One at SLC Championships

HUNTSVILLE, Texas - Freshman Wallis Spears shot a one-over par 73 Monday afternoon to pace the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team, but the Ladyjacks are currently eighth overall heading into Tuesday's second round at the 2010 Southland Conference Championships. The Ladyjacks finished the day with a 325.
Junior Noelle Willcoxon fired the team's second-lowest round, but is seven strokes back of Spears. Willcoxon enters the second round tied for 31st overall. Freshman Chelsea Simmons is currently tied for 34th overall after shooting a 10-over 82. Classmates Allison Flake and Erin Daurity finished the day tied for 39th overall with a 90.
The Ladyjacks will return to the course Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. for the second round of action. SFA will be paired up with Lamar.
