Ladyjacks Finish 10th at Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team fired a 324 on the final day of the Islander Classic Tuesday afternoon to finish 10th overall. The Ladyjacks closed out the classic with two of their stronger rounds of the season shooting a 342-319-324 - 985 over the three days.
Freshman Wallis Spears led SFA carding an 81-77-80 - 238 to finish tied for 23rd overall. Classmate Chelsea Simmons was five strokes back of Spears with a 243 to finish tied for 36th. Junior Noelle Willcoxon was 49th after shooting a 79 Tuesday. She finished with a three-round score of 248. Freshman Allison Flake fired a 256 to finish tied for 58th overall. Freshman Erin Daurity posted her lowest round of the tournament Tuesday and finished tied for 63rd with a 261.
The Ladyjacks return to action Monday, Mar. 14, at the Claud Jacobs Invitational in Victoria, Texas.
