CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team posted a 342-319 - 661 Tuesday and are 10th heading into the final round at the Islander Classic in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Ladyjacks posted one of their best rounds of the season with a 319. All five Ladyjacks improved upon their first-round scores in Tuesday's action.
Freshman Wallis Spears leads SFA with an 81-77-158 to finish tied for 20th overall. Classmate Chelsea Simmons is only three strokes back of Spears to finish tied for 34th overall. Junior Noelle Willcoxon cut 11 strokes off her opening round score by shooting a 79 Tuesday. Willcoxon finished the day tied for 53rd overall. Freshman Allison Flake recorded a 173 and is tied 58th. Classmate Erin Daurity carded a 90-87-177 to finish 64th overall.
The Ladyjacks will close out the Islander Classic Wednesday morning.
