KINDER, La. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team struggled on the final day of the Kosati Pines Collegiate finishing 13th overall. SFA posted a 340 Tuesday to record a three-round 1,017 only one stroke behind Dallas Baptist.
Freshman Wallis Spears entered the day as the overall leader, but had to finish the second round of action Tuesday morning. Spears was unable to maintain the pace she set in the opening round recording an 83-84 to finish the day with a 240. Her score placed her in a five-way tie for 23rd overall.
Junior Noelle Willcoxon struggled in the opening round, but battled back with a 79 in the second. She closed out the tournament with an 85 to finish 60th overall (256). Only two strokes back of Willcoxon was freshman Chelsea Simmons who carded a 92-85-81 -- 258. Freshman Allison Flake posted a 263 to finish 69th overall, while Erin Daurity carded a 282 to place 80th overall.
