
SFA Wins Two At Greater Ozark Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack bowling team went 2-1 in bracket play Sunday on the final day of the Greater Ozark Invitational. That performance helped the Ladyjacks finish seventh in the three-day event.
SFA dropped its first match against No. 20 Louisiana Tech, falling 4-2 in the best-of-seven Baker format. The Ladyjacks' high game in the contest was a 211.
The Ladyjacks rallied for a 4-2 win over Southern in their next match, bowling a 230, 204, 197 and 178 for the win.
SFA finished off the day with a 4-0 win against Prairie View A&M. The Ladyjacks' winning scores were 185, 212, 234 and 179.
Nicole Parkhurst was named to the all-tournament team as one of the top five performers at the event.
"We bowled well today," head coach Laura Cramer said. "We had a lot of fight in our game and we rose to the challenge."
The Ladyjacks will be back in action on Nov. 19, when they take part in the three-day Hawk Classic.
