Ladyjacks Wrap Up Home Invitational

NACOGDOCHES, Texas- The Stephen F. Austin women's tennis team finished the third and final day of tournament action on Sunday at the Schlief Tennis Complex.
Freshman Ksenia Berestetska managed to win her respective singles draw without dropping a single set. She defeated Bianca Schilz of Northwestern State in the finals of the C draw 6-4, 6-1. Meanwhile, teammate Alina Shazhko reached the final round of the D draw, but fell short to Amrinette Botha of Sam Houston 6-3,6-2.
In the doubles competition, Alina Shazkho and Paola Montuenga fell to Postnikova/Dubyanskaya of Sam Houston 8-4 in the A consolation draw. Meanwhile, teammates Ksenia Berestetska and Alice Pacaut won both of their matches in the B consolation draw. Meaghan Ocanas and Andreea Enica fell short to Van de Bergh/Perez of Texas State 8-2.
The Ladyjacks are next scheduled to compete in the Apache Invitational. The event will take place in Tyler, Texas on October 15-16th.
