'Jacks Drop to Fourth at SHSU Invitational

HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin men's golf team traveled to Huntsville, Texas to compete in the Sam Houston Harold Funston Invitational Monday and Tuesday. The Lumberjacks lost a lot of ground in the third round and dropped one spot on the leader board to finish fourth overall carding a 289-283-293-865.
Junior Stetson McMillan lost his first place standing, shooting a 76 in the third round, falling to finish 13th overall, while Senior Kyle Robbins shot a 72-68-77-217 finishing in a tie for 17th place.
Sophomore Mitchell McLeroy fired a 69 in the third round, landing him in a tie for 24th with teammate Richard Wilkenfeld who carded a 73-73-72-218. Junior Jordan Wynn shot an 84 in the final round placing him in a tie for 75th overall.
The Lumberjacks return to action on October 17 when they travel to San Antonio, Texas to compete in the Lone Star Invitational.
