'Jacks Third After First Two Rounds

HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin men's golf team traveled to Huntsville, Texas to compete in the Sam Houston Harold Funston Invitational Monday morning. The Lumberjacks won this tournament last year and teed off to a great start firing a 289-283-592 after the first two rounds to finish the day third place overall.
Two of the five players are in the top ten after the two rounds. Firing a 68-69-137, junior Stetson McMillan is currently in a tie for first place and only three strokes back from him is senior Kyle Robbins who is tied for third.
Senior Richard Wilkenfeld shot a 73 in both rounds to land in a tie for 26th place, while sophomore Mitchell McLeroy is tied for 39th carding a 76-73-149. Junior Jordan Wynn shot an 82-81-163 and is currently tied for 71st after the first two rounds.
The Lumberjacks will continue tomorrow when they tee off at 8 a.m. for the third and final round.
