NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Stephen F. Austin bowling head coach Laura Cramer announced Monday a new partnership between the Ladyjack program and bowling manufacturer Storm Products, Inc. SFA was selected for sponsorship out of a pool of programs that spanned the country.
The Ladyjacks are one of only seven collegiate programs in the nation to earn a sponsorship for the 2010-11 season. Other sponsored teams include Arkansas State, Florida, Ohio State, Arizona, McKendree University and Pikeville College.
"This is a real indication of where we are as a program," Cramer said. "To get this kind of attention in only our second year really shows that we're heading in the right direction. I want to thank the people at Storm for selecting us for this sponsorship. It's just one more reason to be excited about the upcoming season."
The sponsorship deal will land apparel and equipment for the fledgling Ladyjack program. Storm is considered the top bowling ball manufacturer in the country. The company is based in Brigham City, Utah. For more information, visit the Storm Products, Inc. official website at www.stormbowling.com.
The Ladyjacks will open the 2010-11 competition schedule on Sunday, when they take on Sam Houston State in a dual match. The contest against the Bearkats will be held in the International Training and Research Center in Arlington, Texas, and will be streamed live online through the United States Bowling Congress website.
