
Gadeva Closes Out Career With Academic Honors

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Ladyjack tennis player Gabriela Gadeva has been named to a pair of all-academic teams following her senior season, marking the third consecutive year Gadeva has earned a postseason academic award in her career.
Gadeva was initially name to her second straight CoSIDA Academic All-District second team and followed that up with a selection to the Southland Conference's all-academic second team one week later. The Sofia, Bulgaria native was a CoSIDA second team selection in 2008 as well, and was a SLC all-academic selection in both 2008 and 2007.
She was one of the three second-team selections for the Southland Conference to the CoSIDA All-District VI team after standout senior campaigns both academically and athletically. Gadeva won a total of six matches in conference action this season, including four in singles play and two along with doubles teammate Tatiana Smolnikova and finished her Ladyjack career with a near-perfect 3.97 GPA in Hospitality Administration.
