NACOGDOCHES, Texas - Ladyjack bowling head coach Laura Cramer announced Monday that six student-athletes have signed on to be part of the program's first-ever signing class.
Brandy Hensley, Whitney McCoy, Sierra Gibbons, Dustie Hammond and Ashli Rosenkranz each hail from Texas, while Devin Vicks is from Louisiana. All will be true freshmen when the Ladyjacks begin their first year of competition in the 2010 season.
"I am so excited to be able to bring this group of bowlers to SFA," Cramer said. "I feel as though their talent and experience will get the program off to the start we are looking for and will quickly put SFA in the competitive circuit."
Women's bowling, in addition to women's golf, was added in late 2008 to fill the void left when women's equestrian transitioned to a club sport. Cramer has been working since her hire in Nov. 2008 on recruiting and building a schedule for the upcoming 2010 season that will be released in the upcoming weeks.
