Lumberjack Golf Falls to 11th at UALR

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team recorded its highest round of the tournament, and fell to 11th overall after a shooting 307 Tuesday morning at the UALR/First Tee Intercollegiate in Little Rock, Ark. Lamar won the tournament, which was delayed Tuesday due to rain, by recording the lowest final round score.
Freshman Stetson McMillan recorded the 'Jacks' lowest score after carding a three-round 77-71-76 - 224. He finished tied for 23 overall. Sophomore Michael Smith shot an identical four-over 76 on the final day of competition, but finished the tournament tied for 34th overall. Classmate Kyle Robbins finished tied with Smith after recording a 75-74-77 - 226.
Senior Chad Spencer was the final scorer for SFA after recording a 78 in the final round. He finished the tournament tied for 51st overall with a 230. Junior Josh Irving finished with a 75-79-81 - 235. Irving was tied for 70th overall.
The Lumberjacks return to action Monday, April 6, when they head to Branson, Mo., to compete in the Branson Creek Invitational.
