NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack golf team shot a 343 in the final round of the Ross Resorts Invitational in Pinehurst, N.C. The Ladyjacks shot a 337-329-343 - 1009 to finish ninth overall.
The Ladyjacks were led by freshman Wallis Spears who shot an 84-78-78 - 240 to finish tied for 27th overall. Classmate Chelsea Simmons finished seven strokes back of Spears with a 247. She is currently tied for 42nd overall. Junior Noelle Willcoxon fired to 259 to finish tied for 51st overall. Freshman Allison Flake finished tied for 54th overall with a 263. Classmate Erin Daurity was 59th overall with a 288.
The Ladyjacks return to action Monday when they will be in Lake Charles, La., for the Cowgirl Fall Invitational. It will serve as the Ladyjacks final tournament of the fall semester.
