66 SFA Student-Athletes Named to Honor Roll

FRISCO, Texas - Stephen F. Austin placed 66 student-athletes on the 2008 Capital One/Southland Conference Commissioners Fall Honor Roll announced league officials Thursday evening. SFA was one of four league members that placed at least 64 athletes on the list.
Of the 66 Lumberjack and Ladyjack athletes named to the honor roll, 35 of them recorded at least a 3.5 grade point average. SFA also placed 10 athletes on the honor roll with a 4.0 grade point average.
The Lumberjack football team led the way with 33 selections, followed by the Ladyjack soccer team (15), cross country teams (10) and Ladyjack volleyball (8). The Lumberjack football team had 12 athletes with at least a 3.5 GPA, and one 4.0 selection. The SFA cross country teams recorded four 4.0 student-athletes, while the soccer team had three and the volleyball team recorded two.
