WICHITA, Kansas - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks are currently tied for 12th after shooting a 298-316 - 614 at the Diet Pepsi Shocker Classic Monday afternoon. The 'Jacks are currently 46 strokes over par.
Junior Chad Spencer currently leads SFA after shooting a five-over par 147. Spencer is currently tied for 13th overall. Freshman Matthew Oates is six strokes back of Spencer with an opening day score of 78-75 - 153.
Freshman Richard Wilkenfeld jumped out to a strong first round after shooting a four-over par 75, but faltered with a second-round score of 83. Wilkenfeld is currently tied or 64th with a score of 158.
Wilkenfeld was one of three Lumberjacks that started strong in the first round, but struggled during the afternoon round. Sophomore Josh Irving shot an opening round 75, but finished the day with a second-round score of 84 to finish the day with a 159. Senior James Winkley is a stroke back of Irving after shooting a 75-85 - 160. Winkley is currently tied for 75th overall.
The Lumberjacks return action Tuesday morning to close out the Diet Pepsi Shocker Classic.
