
Louisiana-Monroe Defeats Ladyjack Tennis

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks fell to the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks Sunday morning, 7-0. SFA falls to 1-5 on the year.
In doubles' play, Laura Harrison and Roxana Enica defeated ULM's No. 1 team, 9-8 with a tie breaking score of 7-4. But SFA's No. 2 and No. 3 teams fell, 8-6, and 8-3 respectively to give ULM the doubles point.
The Ladyjacks battled hard in singles action, with Enica falling 7-5, 7-5 in No. 1 singles. Gabriela Gadeva and Lauren Nowicki both pushed a tie breaker but were unsuccessful.
In No. 3 singles, Gadeva won the first set, 6-2, but fell, 2-6, in the second set. ULM took the tie breaker, 1-10. Nowicki was defeated 4-6 in her first set of No. 4 play, but took the second set, 6-4. The Warhawks once again took the tie breaker, 10-4.
SFA returns to the court, Monday, March 5, against Centenary College in Shreveport, La.
