NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin equestrian team finished off its fall season with an 11-4 loss to the Oklahoma State Cowgirls at the Walter C. Todd Agricultural Center on Saturday.
The Ladyjacks would find their most success in the hunt seat competition, notching points from both Kristin Landes and Shannon Zelnikoff. Landes rode Kuper to a 67-63 win over Sam Collingsworth to score for SFA, while Zelnikoff rode Marcie for 61 points in a win over Michelle Woolschlager.
SFA caught a stretch of bad luck in western horsemanship, falling by only a total of two total points, 296-294. Felicia Shartle picked up a 72-71 win in horsemanship, knocking off Suzanne Randolph in her match up. Kayla Krambeck would knot Jordan Pickleman for OSU at 74.5 apiece, but Jenny Martin and Kyra Cruse each fell in their head-to-heads by narrow margins.
The Ladyjacks will be off until February 2nd when they return to action for four consecutive home shows, beginning with Baylor visiting the Walter C. Todd Agricultural Center.
