
SFA Equestrian Falls 12-4 To Georgia

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin equestrian team held its first home show of the year, falling to Georgia 12-4 at the Walter C. Todd Agricultural Center on Sunday afternoon.
Western Horsemanship would see Jenny Martin earn MVP after her 76-74.5 win over Kelly Mundrick. The Ladyjacks' Kyra Cruse also just narrowly missed scoring for SFA, falling to Alicia Shrum 72.5-71.5.
SFA would find success in the Reining portion of the afternoon as well, scoring a pair of points behind Martin and Cruse. Martin would post a 67.5-64 win over Christin Grant, while Cruse would take a 72.5-67.5 win
In English discipline, Georgia would take Equitation Over Fences with a 3-1 win. Kristin Landes pulled out the lone Ladyjack point in with a 73-72 triumph over Kelly Bonau. Overall, the Bulldogs would take the hunt seat competition 7-1.
