Meet the 'Jacks Scheduled for Tuesday Aug. 22nd

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack football team will kickoff the 2006 season Tuesday Aug. 22 with the annual `Meet the 'Jacks.' The event is slated to begin at 6 p.m. at the Fredonia Hotel.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet the SFA coaching staff and players as they prepare to open the season Thursday Aug. 31, at Tulsa. The game against the Golden Hurricane is slated to begin at 6 p.m. from Skelly Stadium. Dinner will be served and fans will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction.
Along with the football team, SFA will recognize the Ladyjack volleyball and soccer teams and Lumberjack cross country teams on their 2005 SLC Championship titles. The Ladyjack volleyball and soccer teams won their second straight conference title last season, while the men's cross country team won its fifth straight league crown.
Tickets for the event are $10 dollars and can be purchased from any Fredonia Rotary Club member as well as participating local banks. `Meet the 'Jacks' is sponsored by the Fredonia Rotary Club, Fredonia Hotel and Aramark.
