Former SFA Golf Coach Bill Hill Passes Away

NACOGDOCHES - Former SFA golf coach Bill Hill passed away Tuesday morning in Tyler. Texas. Hill served as the Lumberjacks' head golf coach from 1990 to 2000.
During his time in Nacogdoches he guided SFA to two Southland Conference titles (1991 and 1999) and was recognized as the league's top coach in 1991 and 1996. Hill produced 17 all-conference selections and two SLC Player of the Year honorees during his tenure at SFA. Hill guided the Lumberjacks to the 1996 NCAA Regional Championships, which still stands as the program's lone trip to the NCAA tournament.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
