LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjack golf team shot 312 on the final day of the Arkansas-Little Rock First Tee Collegiate to finish 14th in the 15-team field. The Lumberjacks began the day tied for 12th place after turning in rounds of 309 and 301 Monday.
Freshman Josh Irving gave the strongest performance for the Lumberjacks. He carded a 75 to jump from 30th place to a tie for 28th in the final individual standings. Senior Jason Landry shot a 77 in the final round to finish 37th. Senior Brian Grossman finished 49th after turning in a 79 on the last day. Freshman Jonathan Porter and sophomore Tyler Trichell shot 81 and 83, respectively, in the final round to finish 60th and 70th.
The Lumberjacks will be back in action on April 3 and 4, when they take part in the Centenary College Hal Sutton Intercollegiate in Shreveport, La.
