
Ladyjack Tennis Falls at ULM, Northwestern State

MONROE, La. - Stephen F. Austin's Lauren Nowicki defeated Louisiana-Monroe's Pauline Bourdet, 6-4, 4-6, 10-6, Saturday in No. 4 singles' in a Southland Conference dual match to give SFA their lone point in a 6-1 loss.
Kama Scott and Megan Langston came close to winning the No. 1 doubles' match, pushing the Lady Indians' Diana Espinal and Daliny Sithimorada to a 9-7 score.
On Friday, the Ladyjacks faced Northwestern State in Natchitoches, La. SFA swept the doubles' point and had two points from Scott and Gaby Gadeva in singles play.
Scott, a senior from Abilene, took the win in No. 2 singles, 6-2 and 6-1, as freshman Gadeva took a 6-0, 6-0 win in No. 6 singles.
Northwestern State edged the Ladyjacks, 4-2, in singles play to win the match, 4-3.
The losses moved SFA to 5-8 overall and 1-6 in Southland Conference action.
The Ladyjacks will return to the court on Saturday, April 1, against Texas State. The SLC match is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start from the SFA Tennis Complex.
