
SFA Tennis Finishes the Week, 2-1

NACOGDOCHES - The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack tennis team concluded a three-match home series Saturday, posting a 2-1 record for the week. The Ladyjacks took two 7-0 wins from each Centenary College and Nicholls State and a 6-1 loss against Southeastern Louisiana.
On Thursday, SFA hosted Centenary College and swept every point. Laura Harrison, Kama Scott, Megan Langston, and Gaby Gadeva each won their matches with 6-0, 6-0 scores.
In Southland Conference play, the Ladyjacks defeated Nicholls State with a 7-0 sweep on Friday but could not hold their own against Southeastern Louisiana Saturday and lost, 6-1. Laura Harrison took a 6-4. 6-4 win from Southeastern La. in No. 1 singles to give SFA their lone point.
Harrison finished the week with a 5-1 record. SFA moved their record to 7-8 on the season and 1-4 in SLC play.
The Ladyjacks will return to the court on Friday, March 24, at Northwestern State in Natchitoches, La. The SLC match will begin at 2 p.m.
